Lambrini Girls – The Basement

Lambrini Girls have never sounded this close to the dancefloor. “The Basement” Ride a tight, gritty bassline from Selin Macieira that gets hips moving before the distortion piles on. Phoebe Lunny uses the groove to take apart a man who walls himself up at home, joins an online brotherhood that only feeds his misery, swallows the idea that women are the enemy, and blames his genes for whatever’s left. The sting is that his door stays shut because of the walls he built himself, and the song mocks him and pities him in the same breath.

Out alongside the acoustic “Spilt”, it’s the next taste of second album No Refunds, due January 15, 2027 on City Slang, after Bang Bang Bang (W38) and Cult of Celebrity (W14). Send it to the group chat that needs it.
