USA Nails – Two Grim Choices
Day three in the studio, and drummer Tom Brewins wanted to try something different: a techno song. USA Nails being USA Nails, what came out is still noise-rock, but built on that idea, a track that keeps stacking pressure and moving forward without ever giving you a release.
Gareth Thomas heard the shape of a panic attack in it and wrote to match. “The lyrics are about paranoia, anxiety and anti-depressants,” he says, and he shaped his vocal around that same rising panic, so the words and the arrangement climb together. The London four-piece, Thomas, Brewins, Steven Hodson and Dan Holloway, haven’t softened anything to get there.
“Two Grim Choices” is the second single from “Routine Flesh”, their sixth album and the follow-up to 2024’s “Feel Worse”. It’s out February 12, 2027 on One Little Independent Records, with SKiN GRAFT Records handling North and South America, and the band play five UK shows around the release.
