Lambrini Girls – Spilt

What’s left when Lambrini Girls switch the amps off? “Spilt” is the answer: a fully acoustic song about alcohol dependency, no distortion and no bass to hide behind, and Phoebe Lunny delivers it closer to a confession than a battle cry. Selin Macieira calls it a challenge to make something this different land just as hard, and it does, not least because it arrives as the other half of a double single with “The Basement“, all gritty groove and mockery. Both songs lead into second album No Refunds, due January 15, 2027 on City Slang, after Bang Bang Bang (W38).
