Asa Moto – MJ Complex
Belgian duo Asa Moto return with “MJ Complex”, the lead track from their Music For Disk Jockeys Pt. I EP dropping November 7th on DEEWEE. It’s their first EP in four years, following 2021’s Martino on the same label. The track was co-produced by Asa Moto and Soulwax, who run DEEWEE.
Asa Moto work from Ghent, threading synths and acoustic instruments through stubborn rhythms. They don’t stick to one format, moving between live shows, DJ sets, recordings, and remixes. Their sets have hit stages across Europe, from main stages to basement clubs. They got attention from Resident Advisor, Red Bull, and BBC, and picked up support from DJs like Paul Woolford, Ivan Smagghe, and Mano Le Tough after Martino came out.
They’ve started working with other artists too. Their collaboration with Altin Gün marked their first work with outside musicians. Their remixes resist easy categorization but leave an impression anyway.
