Lo Moon – Satellite
Before “Satellite” reached any streaming service, the only way to own it was to be in the room: Lo Moon pressed an early Alan Moulder mix onto 7-inch vinyl and handed a copy to everyone at a few small London and Manchester shows back in February. Now it’s out properly, produced by Alex Farrar, and it’s the biggest the trio have ever sounded, 90s alternative muscle crossed with the sheen of 2000s blog rock and driven hard from the first bar. Matt Lowell wrote it about fatherhood, loss and the nagging sense of never quite working life out while everything keeps shifting, and the band channel all that anxiety straight into momentum. First new music in over two years, and the first since signing to Easy Does It Records and [PIAS].
