Anna Erhard – 1000 Sheep

The shepherd in “1000 Sheep” is real. Anna Erhard met him last summer while touring the UK, wrote a song about the man who looks after a thousand sheep, sent it to him, and returned to his farm this summer to shoot the video with Moris Freiburghaus. The lyric is a deadpan crush: she asks from the road whether the water is safe to drink and gets a frank answer, agrees with everything he says about his flock, and offers to count the sheep for him, or join them. The chorus daydream lands in his meadow, counting sheep when sleep won’t come.
