Hang Linton – the TOWER
Hang Linton’s single called “THE TOWER” is his fighter music for letting the rage he has about how easy it is for those who are in power to ignore people’s lives. The song is available now through Bat Feet Records, with an art piece created by Christos Alamaniotis.
The lyrics do not soften anything — A tower breaking apart from lightning; a lullaby being sung above people who are on fire down there. Mothers crying and wrapped up in something grotesque made by violence instead of love. The chorus goes back around to raining, hurting and bombing non-stop until ‘deathshower’ and ‘devour’ become less like words and more like blows that have been repeatedly thrown with intent. Politicians referenced in this song do not depict themselves as active villains but they show themselves as spectators sitting in their towers while all the action occurs beneath their feet.
It is direct, and it intends to be.
