Do Nothing – Summer Of Hate
Do Nothing emerges from the shadows of their 2023 debut album “Snake Sideways” with “Summer Of Hate”, a standalone single recorded in their hometown at JT Soar with Folly Group’s Louis Milburn.
Frontman Chris Bailey explains: “It’s a fun song for the summer, despite being released now when the lousy summer has long since passed”. The track delves into themes of bullying and rejection while acknowledging that these experiences don’t simply vanish with age. “Growing up doesn’t necessarily mean that stuff goes away”, Bailey reflects. However, the band approached the recording with a deliberately relaxed attitude, ”which was easy because we were at home and with friends in the sunshine”.
The release offers a glimpse into the band’s future, with Bailey revealing that their second album is already well underway. Most of the songwriting is complete, and the band is set to enter the studio with Milburn in November.
