Bartees Strange – Sober

Bartees Strange is back with “Sober,” a preview of his upcoming album “Horror”. The track, co-produced with Yves and Lawrence Rothman and Jack Antonoff, brings a fresh ’80s heartland rock vibe to Strange’s sound. “Sober” tackles the struggle of falling short in relationships and turning to drink, a theme many might relate to. The album, inspired by Strange’s experiences growing up queer in Oklahoma, explores themes of fear and being feared. The “Sober” video, directed by Ricardo Betancourt, pays homage to a 1974 Sly & The Family Stone Soul Train performance. “Horror” drops early next year.
