My Purse – The Hole
No wall of fuzz here: My Purse keep everything bare, two guitars locking into each other over a bassline. “The Hole” turns a relationship stalemate into something literal. The narrator digs a pit, drops straight in and takes the blame, squinting away from the sun and claiming to prefer the shade, until the shade stops feeling safe. She steps aside to make room for the other person, who takes their time, wanders off toward their independence and looks away while she shouts for help from the bottom. Small hole, long fall. Third single after “I Smell” and Objects (W23), out on AT EASE.
