Nation of Language – The Conversation

Nation of Language – The Conversation

“The Conversation” started as a leftover from Nation of Language’s Dance Called Memory sessions, unreleased for years until the band decided to pair it with their Springsteen cover on a new 7″. According to vocalist Ian Richard Devaney, it’s written more like a poem than a typical song: a tight vignette about two people finally reaching the moment where everything unsaid needs to come out. It’s the kind of song that justifies a B-side slot by refusing to disappear.
