Floral Image – Thieves
Norwich neo-psych five-piece Floral Image share “Thieves”, the first single from their EP Deeper Down Meadowland, out November 21st on Fuzz Club Records. The track delivers four minutes of acoustic blues-tinged chugging. It came from the same sessions that produced their debut album Gone Down Meadowland, released this past April.
Vocalist and guitarist Fergus Nolan describes the song as addressing Britain in 2025, rejecting the billionaire agenda and calling out empty patriotism. The band mixes guitars, soft vocal layering, and kraut-pop repetition.
Floral Image is Fergus Nolan on vocals and guitars, Jack Warner on vocals and keys, Matt Kennedy on bass, Mitch Forsyth on drums and visuals, and Phil Whitton on guitars and visuals. Their sound shifts between light and dark, ferocity and wonderment, with an unstructured flow that bends and grows.
