King Hannah – Leftovers

King Hannah – Leftovers

In a delightful twist of meta-storytelling, King Hannah releases “Leftovers,” a literal leftover track from their Big Swimmer sessions that’s actually about leftovers.

The Liverpool duo of Hannah Merrick and Craig Whittle have crafted a slow-burning piece that proves sometimes the best dishes are the ones you reheat. Originally recorded for Big Swimmer but shelved due to lyrical discontent, the track underwent a rewrite that turned it into a meditation on tradition, future-past tension, and yes, actually finishing what’s on your plate.

After collaborating with Sharon Van Etten and touring with Kurt Vile, Kevin Morby, and Thurston Moore, the band has somehow managed to stay surprisingly under the radar. Producer Ali Chant helps turn this rescued recording into something that feels less like a B-side and more like a main course.
