Blu & Sndtrak – LA
Blu and Sndtrak link up for “LA”, the title track and first single from a joint album due September 4 on Nature Sounds. It’s a smooth, unhurried West Coast cut: warm jazz keys looping over a steady, head-nodding drum beat while Blu keeps his rhymes relaxed and conversational, all of it circling life in Los Angeles. Sndtrak, a 9th Wonder affiliate who’s produced for plenty of well-known names in rap, keeps the beat tight and a little gritty, with syncopated rhythms that give the easy mood some spine.
Blu’s still one of the more respected voices in underground rap, and pairing him with a producer for a full-length is where he tends to do his best work. He’s had a busy year already, teaming with Exile on Time Heals Everything earlier in 2026, so a second collaborative album says something about the run he’s on.
