SSAANN – Wade
Milwaukee’s SSAANN dropped “Wade” on November 11, 2025, and it sits somewhere between a dream and a gaze. The track features Melissa Simes on vocals and synth, Tommy Behan on drums and production, Jake Schneider on guitar, and Tim Moder on bass. Simes wrote the music and lyrics, with Behan handling production duties.
The lyrics move between pleading for reconciliation and resignation, capturing someone caught between wanting connection and feeling foolish for it. Simes asks for recognition of lost words while acknowledging the timing feels wrong. There’s a repetitive marker to the middle section that mirrors the circular nature of these thoughts, cycling through “feed,” “weed,” and “bleed” until there’s nothing left.
Jacob “Beanboi” Henbest mixed the track, and Justin Perkins mastered it. The song drifts along with layered synths and steady rhythms, creating space for Simes’ vocals to carry the emotional weight. The production doesn’t push too hard, letting each element breathe while the lyrics do the heavy lifting.
SSAANN released “Wade” through Broken Palace on all streaming platforms and Bandcamp.
