Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 – Stand Well Well

Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 – Stand Well Well

Seun Kuti, son of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, is back with “Stand Well Well,” the final single from his upcoming album “Heavier Yet (Lays The Crownless Head).” Drawing inspiration from Aldous Huxley’s “Brave New World,” Seun questions societal norms and challenges George Orwell’s “1984” predictions. The track showcases Seun’s ability to blend social commentary with infectious rhythms, continuing his father’s legacy of politically charged music. As leader of Egypt 80 since his teens, Seun has become a powerful voice in Nigerian activism. With four albums under his belt and collaborations with artists like Janelle Monae and Damian Marley, Seun keeps pushing boundaries. “Stand Well Well” sets the stage for his European and UK tour starting October 10.
