Alina Bzhezhinska, Tulshi, Cosmic Analog Ensemble – Journey Home (Cosmic Analog Ensemble Remix)
Harpist Alina Bzhezhinska and Ibiza-based producer Tulshi have shared a new rework of “Journey Home”, remixed by Cosmic Analog Ensemble, the project of Lebanese producer and multi-instrumentalist Charif Megarbane. It’s out April 28 on Tru Thoughts.
The original appeared on their recent collaborative album as a meditation on closure and return, sitting with the question whether home is a place or something interior. Megarbane pulls that thread in a different direction, stretching the composition and layering in references to 1960s Italian library music, Middle Eastern psychedelia, afrobeat, and hip-hop breaks. The remix keeps the track’s introspective quality intact while pushing its energy outward โ where the original stays rooted, this version moves.
Bzhezhinska’s harp remains the centre of gravity throughout. Its phrasing is fluid and restrained, holding the arrangement together as everything around it shifts. Megarbane was direct about the draw: “I love Alina’s harp playing and the invitation to make a remix for one of her tracks was a unique opportunity to play around with the sonics, adding various instruments and the freedom to take the track into a different direction”. That freedom shows โ the analogue textures and warm, rolling rhythms feel considered rather than decorative. It’s the kind of remix that earns its place alongside the original rather than replacing it.
