Still Corners – Summer Nights

‘Summer Nights’ by Still Corners feels like a warm breeze coming in through the open window, bringing the bittersweet weight of the transition from one season to another. With American/British musicians Greg Hughes and Tessa Murray, there’s something here that’s intimate and at the same time grand, with Murray’s voice hovering above Hughes’s carefully crafted sounds like light filtering through leaves in the evening.
The track embodies more of the band’s signature dream-pop sensibilities but ushers a step into a more contemplative territory.
It’s what sets ‘Summer Nights’ apart: emotional honesty. There’s no pretence here, just two artists’ time passing and the reluctance, the universal experience of letting beautiful moments slip away.

Ever since releasing the critically acclaimed ‘The Last Exit’ in 2021 and earning merit among other great albums of that year, the band has kept its promise of making music that hits both the heart and the head.
