Vienna Vienna – Cashgrab
Vienna Vienna’s ‘Cashgrab’ is precisely what it claims to be—a gloriously unsubtle rock stomper that doesn’t bother pretending to be anything deeper. Fuzzed-out guitars, sneering vocals, and a chorus that make this track feel like a middle finger wrapped in a pop-punk bow. The lyrics wink at capitalism’s absurdity while the instrumentation steamrolls through with the subtlety of a wrecking ball.
Brian DeSousa, the brains behind Vienna Vienna, describes it best: “Conspiracy and surrealism over a groove so tight it’s pretty much fatal.” Coming off recent festival slots and a tour with K.Flay, ‘Cashgrab’ cements his rep as alt-rock’s resident chaos agent. It’s brash, it’s dumb (in the best way), and it rips.
