Mark Pritchard & Thom Yorke – This Conversation is Missing Your Voice

Mark Pritchard and Thom Yorke have unveiled their new single, “This Conversation is Missing Your Voice,” the second taste from their upcoming collaborative album “, Tall Tales,” set for release May 9th via Warp Records. This partnership marks Yorke’s first full-length collaboration with a producer. However, the duo’s creative relationship stretches back over a decade, beginning with Pritchard’s remixes of Radiohead’s “Bloom” and culminating in their 2016 track “Beautiful People.”

“This Conversation is Missing Your Voice” follows February’s “Back in the Game” and showcases the duo’s distinct creative roles—Pritchard crafting experimental synthesizers while Yorke contributes his trademark vocals.

The project began during lockdown when Pritchard sent Yorke a collection of musical ideas. “There were so many great ones I knew straight away that I had to drop what I was doing,” Yorke explains. “It felt very much that I had not been anywhere like this before… Tall Tales is very important to me. I hope people get it and get to hear it!”

Visual artist Jonathan Zawada, the duo considers an unofficial third member, directed the accompanying music video and designed the album artwork. Zawada has created a feature-length dystopian film that will be shown in selected cinemas coinciding with the album’s release—a visual commentary on modernity’s increasingly absurd progression.
