Tyler, The Creator – NOID

Tyler, The Creator’s new track “NOID” is out now, complete with a self-directed video. It’s the latest offering from his upcoming album CHROMAKOPIA, set to release on October 28th through Columbia Records. The song explores the theme of celebrity paranoia, with Tyler donning a plastic facemask and sporting a duo-hawk haircut in the visuals. The video, credited to Tyler Okonma (his real name), shifts from black-and-white to colour, creating a surreal atmosphere. “NOID” features an eclectic mix of psych-rock guitars, layered harmonies, and possibly sampled African vocals (The song samples a Zambian rock band from the 70s. It’s called Nizakupanga ngzo by the Ngozi family and Paul Ngozi), with a quick rap verse from Tyler.
