The Slaps – Fool

Chicago’s The Slaps have unveiled “Fool”, the latest single from their upcoming album “Mudglimmer”. The track showcases the band’s unique blend of free jazz and post-rock elements, resulting in a lively and expansive sound. Guitarist Rand Kelly, bassist Ramsey Bell, and drummer Josh Resing collaborated with Dexter Webb, known for his work with Indigo De Souza, during the demo process. The song’s theme revolves around the fine line between innocence and ignorance, drawing inspiration from a Howard Finster quote. “Fool” follows their previous release “Compromised Dirt”, which featured guest appearances from Merce Lemon and Lunar Vacation’s Maggie Geeslin. The Slaps’ new album “Mudglimmer” is set to drop on November 8th.
