Ruthven – I Can’t Go There

Ruthven, also known as Sean Nelson, is set to release his debut album “Rough & Ready” on October 25th via Paul Institute and XL Recordings. The South London artist, who started his music career while working as a firefighter, has been steadily building his unique blend of R&B and future-funk since 2017.

The album’s title is a play on Ruthven’s stage name pronunciation (“Rough’n”) and reflects his journey from wedding band performer to solo artist.

“I Can’t Go There,” the fourth single from the album, has a music video co-directed by Ruthven and his wife, Francesca Nelson.
