DEADLETTER – It Comes Creeping

Yorkshire post-punk outfit DEADLETTER return with “It Comes Creeping,” the second single from their upcoming album “Existence Is Bliss,” out February 27 via So Recordings. The six-piece continue the music evolution they started with lead single “To The Brim,” pushing further into experimental territory while keeping their post-punk foundation intact.

Frontman Zac Lawrence’s raspy voice cuts through the arrangement, giving the song an unsettling edge that matches its subject. Lawrence explained the concept: “A spectre haunts us all. Your spectre may well be different from mine, from your mother’s, but we all feel the wrath of whatever shape this spectre takes in the same way. The message in this track is not about what which comes creeping, but the way in which it does so.” It’s about that creeping feeling of pressure or fear that hits everyone differently but affects us all the same.

The band will launch “Existence Is Bliss” with a headline show at London’s KOKO on release day, followed by an extensive UK and European tour running through May.
