Factory Floor – Between You

Factory Floor is back, and they’re keeping things simple—well, as simple as their brand of hypnotic, industrial acid-techno can be. After a five-year break, the London duo of Gabe Gurnsey and Nik Colk Void return with Between You, their first release since 2018, now on Erol Alkan’s Phantasy.

“We’ve realized what Factory Floor actually is,” says Gurnsey. “It’s all about simplicity.” But stripping things back isn’t easy—it takes time to distill a song to its purest form. “There’s a lot in it, and then you strip it back,” Void explains. “You use only what really works.” That process, of refining and challenging each other’s instincts, is what makes their reunion feel vital.
