Deradoorian – Digital Gravestone

Angel Deradoorian marks her signing to Fire Records with “Digital Gravestone”, she is known for her work with Dirty Projectors and Decisive Pink.

The single showcases Deradoorian’s distinctive vocal range, floating effortlessly over a foundation of rumbling bass, while Patrick Shiroishi’s saxophone, Steve Marion’s guitar, and Dylan Fujioka’s drums weave through the spaces between.

Beyond its sonic elements, “Digital Gravestone” carries deep personal significance, reflecting on Deradoorian’s Armenian heritage and themes of survival. As she explains, it’s “a conglomeration of broken imagery of a deserted world”, touching on her family’s history as genocide survivors and exploring the role of belief in maintaining hope amid decay.

The release serves as a preview of her upcoming album, scheduled for spring 2025 on Fire Records, where she joins the roster alongside her other project, Decisive Pink with Kate NV.
