Sunny War (feat. Steve Ignorant) – Walking Contradiction

In her latest release, Sunny War teams up with Steve Ignorant from Crass for “Walking Contradiction”. The track shows a different side of War’s folk-punk roots, leaning into a soulful, organ-driven sound that defies easy categorization. While the melody stays mellow, an underlying tension builds throughout the song.

The lyrics aim modern capitalism with lines like “All the food we buy grows in the dirt, but we can’t grow our own ‘cus we gotta go to work” and for Steve Ignorant, this collaboration holds special meaning: “It’s always an honour to collaborate with someone you respect and Sunny War is no exception”. He sees War as carrying forward a torch of hope in challenging times.

The track appears on War’s upcoming album “Armageddon in a Summer Dress”, set for release February 21 via New West Records.
