Slow Fiction – Brother

New York’s Slow Fiction returns with “Brother”, a powerful exploration of grief and growth recorded in their Brooklyn home studio. Following their “Crush” EP, the track emerged naturally after one of the band’s favourite shows, capturing a raw yet refined moment where singer Julia Vassallo addresses her brother directly for the first time.

The song delves into the complex relationship between personal growth and loss, examining how time transforms grief and memory. Through sharpened shoegaze textures and intimate vocals, the band creates a space where sadness and love coexist, suggesting that moving forward doesn’t mean leaving memories behind.
