Black Doldrums – Hideaway

Black Doldrums – Hideaway

Black Doldrums, the London-based trio, have announced their second album ‘In Limerence’, set for release on October 18th via Fuzz Club. The band has also released ‘Hideaway’, the first single from the album, along with a music video.

Co-produced by Theo Verney, ‘In Limerence’ showcases a cleaner, more direct sound while maintaining the intensity of their live performances. The album blends their characteristic darkwave and shoegaze influences with brighter “goth-pop” elements, resulting in a more refined and atmospheric sound.

Thematically, the album explores regret, loneliness, confusion, and obsession, reflecting the state of intense romantic longing implied by its title. The band describes it as an expression of finding happiness in a confusing modern world, positioning the album as a form of protest through emotional expression.

Black Doldrums will support the album with a UK tour in November, including a release show at London’s Moth Club. They will then tour Europe in March 2025.
