Hello Mary – 0%

Hello Mary – 0%

Hello Mary, the New York-based indie rock trio, is back with their latest single “0%” via Frenchkiss Records. Known for their ‘90s-inspired grunge-pop sound, the band pushes into heavier, more distorted territory with this release. “0%” starts with a heavy bassline and evolves into a fierce alt-rock track with screaming and spoken parts, creating a chaotic yet catchy soundscape.

The single, characterized by spun-out guitars and thundering punk drums, showcases the band’s willingness to explore new sonic landscapes while maintaining their distinctive style. “0%” quickly became a live favorite, capturing the raw energy and emotional intensity of Hello Mary’s performances. Notably, it features drummer and vocalist Stella Wave’s first time screaming on a track, adding to the song’s cathartic climax.

Hello Mary describes “0%” as one of their favorites to play live, reflecting their broadened inspirations over the past year. The track originated from jam sessions and truly came to life in the studio, culminating in a storm of blissed-out noise before transitioning into a playful breakdown.

In addition to the new release, Hello Mary is set to embark on a series of live performances, including their first UK headline show at Brixton Windmill and supporting American Football on select UK dates. This follows their ongoing tour in the U.S., where they’ve been supporting Silversun Pickups.
