01 by Los Bitchos – Is This Real

Los Bitchos are launching something new alongside their main band activity: a dance music project called 01 by Los Bitchos. “Is This Real” is the first release from their “Bitchos Baby” series — a run of club-focused tracks that takes the band’s already rhythm-forward, globe-spanning sound and reshapes it with the dancefloor as the explicit target.

The band have always had a lot of fun with rhythm and texture, pulling from cumbia, surf, and whatever else catches their attention. This side project sounds like a natural next step — less about songs, more about movement. I’m curious where the series goes; as an opening statement, “Is This Real” suggests they know exactly what they’re doing in this territory.
