Floral Image – The Dream (Minami Deutsch Remix)

Norwich psych outfit Floral Image are getting their 2025 debut Gone Down Meadowland remixed, and the line up doing the reworking is strong. Meadowland Remixed drops April 23rd on Fuzz Club with contributions from Los Bitchos, Minami Deutsch, Black Market Karma, Vinyl Williams, Maria Uzor, and more across ten tracks.

“The Dream (Minami Deutsch Remix)” is the first taste. Tokyo’s Minami Deutsch take the original and run it through their motorik-krautrock filte: five and a half minutes that reshape the track while keeping Floral Image’s psych colours intact. The band described the remix album as contributions that pull “bright come-hithers into more mysterious spaces” and turn “darker bubbling tensions into vibrancy and sharpness”. That push-pull between familiar and unfamiliar runs through this remix.

The full track list reads like a who’s-who of the international psych and garage underground. Los Bitchos open things up, Birds of Hell and Volleyball handle mid-album duties, Japanese Television and Upupayāma bring their reworks, and Vinyl Williams closes it out with a full cover of “Sun For Hire”.
