boutique feelings – Long Shore

boutique feelings’ “Long Shore” started with Karim Lakhdar realising he was crying, laughing, and feeling nostalgic within minutes of scrolling social media. That emotional whiplash became the foundation for this twitching, distortion-heavy track that mirrors our constant digital overload.

Built on what Lakhdar calls a “drunk drummer” beat inspired by Questlove, “Long Shore” creates a hypnotic pulse that carries you through sections without thinking, you’re just riding the wave. The Montreal artist, known for his work with psych-rock collective Atsuko Chiba, strips things down to beat-driven hip-hop that questions our relationship with social media addiction.

The black-and-white video, shot in one take against a brick wall, channels old-school rap energy. Lakhdar dances into the camera without choreography, letting the beat guide his movements. It’s honest, unvarnished, and matches perfectly the project’s experimental spirit.

“Long Shore” previews his debut album “Shwaya, Shwaya” (Arabic for “slowly, slowly”), due November 21st via Mothland.
