Gurriers – Erasure
Dublin’s Gurriers return with “Erasure,” their first new music since debut album “Come and See.” The Irish quintet reunites with producer Alex Greaves and brings in Pelle Gunnerfeldt (Viagra Boys, The Hives) for mixing, adding serious low-end weight to their already heavy sound.
“Erasure” delivers everything fans expect from Gurriers: jagged riffs, call-and-response vocals, and a wall of sound that hits hard. Vocalist Dan Hoff calls it “a chaotic mash of genres, an unwavering cry into the void in the face of imperialism and tyranny.” The track premiered on BBC Radio 6 Music with Huw Stephens and comes with a Black Mirror-style video directed by Adam Hart, set in a dystopian security agency office.
The band’s momentum continues building after two sold-out UK and European tours. They’re supporting Kneecap at London’s Wembley Arena on September 18th, with their headline dates already selling out in Bristol, Leeds, and Glasgow. Their December Irish run includes two sold-out nights at Dublin’s Button Factory, plus shows in Cork and Belfast.
