Ebbb – Eyes
London trio Ebbb returns with “Eyes”, their second single of 2025 on Ninja Tune. Following the success of “Manners”, which earned them BBC 6 Music airplay and coverage from NME, DIY, and Clash, the band continues building on their critically acclaimed debut EP “All At Once”.
“Eyes” showcases the contradiction that makes Ebbb compelling. Will Rowland’s soft, almost folkish lyrics over electronic production filled with rolling drums and arpeggiated synths. It’s a sound that feels both nostalgic and futuristic, drawing comparisons to Panda Bear and Elizabeth Fraser while maintaining something distinctly their own.
Beneath the shimmering surface lies a song about relationship dysfunction. Rowland explains it’s about becoming someone’s emotional support system while realizing you’re fundamentally incompatible. The lyrics capture that internal conflict between accepting the need to end things and convincing yourself to try again.
The band directed their video through member Lev Ceylan, creating dreamlike imagery that matches their sonic experimentation. Ebbb has upcoming live shows including a sold-out headline gig at Brixton Windmill on September 25th, plus European dates opening for Shame and UK shows supporting The Orchestra (For Now).
