Daphni – Eleven
Dan Snaith keeps the Daphni tracks coming with “Eleven”, his third release this summer under his dance music alias. Following “Sad Piano House” and “Clap Your Hands”, plus his collaboration on Sofia Kourtesis’ “Unidos”, Snaith shows no signs of slowing down his electronic output.
“Eleven” stretches nearly six minutes of elegant house music. Moody synth melodies weave through the track while ghostly vocal samples drift in and out. It’s a shimmering, trancey piece that builds on Snaith’s knack for crafting atmospheric dance floor moments.
The Damien Roach-directed video keeps it simple with vertical phone footage of someone being dragged behind a boat on an inner tube. It captures that lazy afternoon vibe perfectly and matches the track’s unhurried groove. While there’s no official word yet, three new Daphni tracks in one summer feels like album territory.
The single comes out through Snaith’s own Jiaolong label, giving him complete creative control over the release.
