Sorry – Jetplane
Sorry returns with “Jetplane,” a track that sounds like a nervous breakdown wrapped in cool detachment and a distorted Guided By Voices sample. It’s their first offering of 2025, landing somewhere between minimalist menace and post-digital confusion—exactly where this band thrives.
The release also coincides with Sorry’s upcoming UK/Ireland tour, where they’ll debut a reworked setlist. They’re still dark and a little chaotic but with a tighter grip on their own weirdness.
There’s no big statement here, and maybe that’s the point. “Jetplane” doesn’t build to a climax or deliver closure. Instead, it hovers in midair—awkward, compelling, and too self-aware to care whether you get it or not. Which, let’s be honest, is probably what makes it hit so well.
