Sports Team – Maybe When We’re 30
British indie rockers Sports Team have unveiled “Maybe When We’re 30,” a surprisingly heartfelt look at suburban domesticity that serves as the latest single from their upcoming third album “Boys These Days” due May 23rd via Bright Antenna Records.
What might initially scan as satire reveals itself to be something more sincere—a genuine yearning for the settled domestic life once dismissed as mundane. “It’s not playing for laughs,” the band explains, describing a particularly British landscape of “terraced houses, wheely bins, and petty disputes.
Produced by Matias Tellez (known for work with Girl In Red, CMAT, and Gracie Abrams), “Maybe When We’re 30” offers a preview of “Boys These Days,” which follows their previous Top 3 albums “Deep Down Happy” and “Gulp!” The forthcoming record, recorded in Bergen, Norway, examines modern life and social media’s endless cycle—what the band refers to as “the churn.”
