Goat & MC Yallah – Nimerudi

Goat and MC Yallah’s collaboration on “Nimerudi” is a bold, hypnotic blend of psych-rock and Afrobeat, infused with underground hip-hop. The Swedish masked collective, known for their fuzzed-out acid rock, team up with Kenyan-born, Uganda-based MC Yallah to create this track.

“Nimerudi,” which translates to “I’m Back” in Swahili, thrives on its layered grooves, looped breakbeats, and flickering woodwinds. Goat’s trademark sound is present but restrained, allowing Yallah’s spiky, multilingual flow to take center stage.

Produced by London’s Giles Barrett and mixed at Lightship 95 Studios, “Nimerudi” highlights the global influences that define both Goat and Yallah’s music. Goat’s subtle shifts in style, leaning into funkier, more understated arrangements, amplify Yallah’s charisma while maintaining their signature mysticism. The result is a track that feels equally at home on a dance floor, a festival stage, or a quiet winter evening.
