Throwing Muses – Drugstore Drastic

Out today (November 12th), Throwing Muses drop “Drugstore Drastic”, their first new tune since 2020’s “Sun Racket”.

The track’s got an interesting backstory – Kristin Hersh pulled inspiration from a random New Orleans moment: “The bulk of this song comes from a New Orleans sidewalk: an overheard conversation between a sober and a not sober person, as we all made our way toward the Cool Tree”. This Cool Tree sounds like quite the spot – some mysterious meeting point with its crew of regulars, exotic birds, and these wild branches that snake along the ground.

For the fans itching to catch them live, good news – they’ve just announced a massive UK and EU tour for Spring/Summer 2025.
