A historic collaboration takes a fresh turn as Grammy-nominated producer Gaudi and cultural icon Don Letts reimagine “Dey” by Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 featuring Damian Marley. The original track, released in June as part of Kuti’s album “Heavier Yet”, marked the first-ever collaboration between these musical dynasties.

The remix transforms the original into a dancefloor-ready experience, blending disco and dub elements with afro-funk guitars and dynamic percussion.

This release follows Gaudi & Letts’ successful collaboration on “Outta Sync”, Letts’ debut solo album. Their partnership has since evolved into various high-profile remixes for artists like UB40 and Inner Circle. The track benefits from Gaudi’s extensive production experience with artists like Groove Armada and Steel Pulse, combined with Letts’ deep musical heritage as a pioneering DJ and filmmaker.
