Mild Orange – Mood

Mild Orange returns with “Mood”, their first release since 2022’s “Looking For Space”. Now based in London, frontman Josh Mehrtens crafts an uplifting anthem about finding tranquillity in the urban landscape.

The song’s relaxed rhythm mirrors Mehrtens’ quest for presence amidst city life. The Rob Thorogood-directed video, filmed across 30+ London locations in 48 hours, captures Mehrtens with headphones on, embodying that universal feeling of zoning out from the world.

“We wanted to capture that feeling you get when you have your headphones on and you’re able to fully zone out from the rest of the world”, explains Mehrtens, who recorded the track between London and Wisconsin before final mixing at Auckland’s Roundhead Studios.
