Sea Lemon – Sweet Anecdote

Seattle’s Natalie Lew (Sea Lemon) returns with “Sweet Anecdote”, following her recent collaboration with Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard. The track came together quickly in producer Andy’s studio, starting with guitar and building with synths in about an hour.

The song explores themes of modern obsession and digital surveillance. “The internet contributes to my feeling that I know too much about people, and I wanted to lean into the darker sides of that”, Lew explains. She aimed to create something unsettling in melody and lyrics while maintaining the dreamy atmosphere that characterised her 2023 EP “Stop At Nothing”.
