Silverbacks – Something I Know
Silverbacks are back with a new track called “Something I Know”, and it’s got me pretty excited about their upcoming album “Easy Being A Winner”.
“Something I Know” is an interesting one. This religious theme is going on, telling the story of someone torn between their faith and falling in love. The band’s guitarist, Kilian O’Kelly, wrote the lyrics, and he’s left it open to interpretation whether the main character is turning to God or to their loved one.
What’s really cool is that Kilian and Daniel’s dad, John, plays clarinet on the track and even does a spoken word bit at the end.
Silverbacks seem to be in a good place personally. They’re settling down, with some members moving to new places and discovering new interests). It’s cool to see how that contentment is influencing their music.
The band’s saying the new album is the most “them” they’ve ever sounded.
“Easy Being A Winner” drops on October 20th, and if “Something I Know” is anything to go by, it’s going to be a good one.
