Tom Misch – Cinnamon Curls

Tom Misch once again captivates with his latest single, “Cinnamon Curls,” released via AWAL. This groove-laden track, rich with warm vibes, marks the second in a series of singles Misch plans to share this fall, following “Insecure” last month.

“Cinnamon Curls” was co-written with Grammy award-winning songwriter and producer Jimmy Napes, known for his collaborations with Sam Smith and Disclosure. The track also features contributions from Nate Mercereau, a multi-instrumentalist and producer who recently worked on AndrĂ© 3000’s acclaimed instrumental album, adding an extra layer of sophistication and depth.

The song showcases the vocals of Carmody, a frequent collaborator of Misch, bringing a familiar and cohesive element to the project. The mixing was handled by Neal H Pogue, a renowned engineer with a diverse portfolio, ensuring the track’s impeccable quality.

The creative process began in Los Angeles in 2018, during one of Misch’s initial sessions in the city. Collaborating with Nate Mercereau, Misch developed the original idea for “Cinnamon Curls,” resulting in a track that beautifully combines his melodic sensibilities with Mercereau’s instrumental prowess.
