Model/Actriz – Cinderella (Olof Dreijer Remix)
Model/Actriz hand over “Cinderella” to Olof Dreijer, and The Knife co-founder turns it into something spooky and fun. The remix strips down the original from their “Pirouette” album.
Frontman Cole Haden calls it “sexy and absolutely feral,” which pretty much nails it. The production feels tactile, with percussive elements taking centre stage in the mix.
The band released “Pirouette” earlier this year through True Panther and Dirty Hit. They’re wrapping up a European tour now, including a sold-out show at London’s Heaven, before supporting Peaches across the US next February. They’ll also hit Coachella and Primavera Porto next year.
Dreijer’s been exploring solo work beyond The Knife, and this remix shows he’s still finding new ways to make dance music feel genuinely weird. The track works as both a club tool and a standalone listen, which isn’t easy to pull off.
