Jawnino – LivFlare (broadway market)

Jawnino drops “LivFlare (broadway market)” and it’s exactly the kind of left-field rap you’d expect from London’s most unpredictable MC. The track is pure stream-of-consciousness over production from Tony Seltzer (MIKE, Anysia Kym) and Laron (XXXTENTACION), a beat that feels like walking through East London at 2am.

Jawnino paints vivid scenes with minimal strokes. Broadway Market, Fox & Firkin pub, handbag swings, dizz and ear bites — it’s all there in his trademark shorthand. He builds entire narratives from fragments, dropping location references like N16 and Putney Exchange that ground the track in specific London geography.

The production lets his vocals breathe. Seltzer and Laron keep things minimal but textured, giving space for Jawnino’s word play to hit. Lines like “I went flare but I never went liv” showcase his ability to twist language into something that sounds natural but means everything and nothing.

Since last year’s “40 (mixtape)”, Jawnino’s been doing pop-up cyphers for Victory Lab Radio and Foundation FM’s Beats & Bars. This single shows he’s still pushing his experimental approach while staying rooted in UK rap’s storytelling tradition. Mixed and mastered by Loric Sih, the track captures that raw, immediate feeling of thoughts spilling out faster than you can catch them.
