Insecure Men – Alien
Seven years is a long time between albums, but Saul Adamczewski’s Insecure Men project returns with “Alien”, the first single from their upcoming album “A Man For All Seasons”. The track showcases vintage guitar lines and soft crooning vocals that set the tone for what’s coming November 7th on Fat Possum Records.
Recorded at Ray Davies’ Konk Studios in North London with producer Raf Rundell, the album comes after Adamczewski’s recovery from a severe personal crisis in 2024. His journey back includes rebuilding relationships with family and bandmates, leading to a more collaborative approach. The current lineup features Marley Mackay, Victor Jakeman, Fat White Family’s Alex White, and Steely Dan Monte.
“Alien” carries the ghostly, submerged sound familiar from the first Insecure Men release but feels more communal and mature. The song blends melancholic country influences with lush lounge-pop textures, showing off what Adamczewski calls the album’s “junkshop pop instincts”. Liana Kelemen directed the claymation video that accompanies the track.
The album tackles heartbreak, mental illness, and addiction head-on while offering both confession and escape. Adamczewski plans to follow this with a Memphis-recorded country album and continues exploring folk and experimental forms.
