The Sick Man of Europe’s Transactional isn’t here to make friends—it’s here to crawl under your skin and set up shop. The second single from their self-titled debut (out June 20 via The Leaf Label) is a wiry, twitching thing, all jagged rhythms and lyrics.

The song plays like a manifesto for modern dread, “I’m fear, I’m here” becomes less a chorus and more a threat, repeated until it loses meaning—or maybe until it’s the only meaning left.
