Man/Woman/Chainsaw – Adam & Steve
Man/Woman/Chainsaw’s Adam & Steve is what happens when you try to write a love song in 2024 – equal parts hopeful and hopeless. The London six-piece, known for walking the tightrope between noise and melody, serves up a bittersweet fantasy about modern romance that somehow feels nostalgic and painfully current.
Recorded at RAK Studios with shared vocals between Billy Ward and Vera Leppänen, the track swoons with the kind of earnestness that would be embarrassing if it wasn’t so damn pretty. It’s their version of a fairy tale, where the prince might ghost you, but at least the soundtrack is good. The song leads a double A-side release because one heartbreak anthem wasn’t enough.
